जेठ ५, बागलुङ | काठेखोला गाउँपालिका–६ बिहुँकोटका दुई युवतीको करेन्ट लागेर आज ज्यान गएको छ । 

जंगलबाट स्याउला लिएर घर फर्कने क्रममा करेन्ट लागी २५ वर्षीया गुमा कँडेल र २० वर्षीया निशा कँडेलको ज्यान गएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका प्रहरी नायब उपरीक्षक विश्वराजसिंह थापाले जानकारी दिनुभयो । हाइटेन्सन लाइनको पोलबाट विद्युत् प्रवाह भई करेन्ट लागेको जनाइएको छ । 

बिहानै जंगल गएका युवती अबेरसम्म घर नफर्केपछि परिवारले खोजी गर्दा दुवै मृतावस्थामा फेला परेका थिए । 

जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयबाट गएको टोलीले घटनाको मुचुल्का उठाए पनि स्थानीयवासीले मृतकको शव उठाउन दिएका छैनन् । विद्युत् प्राधिकरणको चरम लापरवाहीका कारण घटना भएको उनीहरुको आरोप छ । मृतकका आफन्तले घटनाको जिम्मेवारी लिई प्राधिकरणले उचित क्षतिपूर्ति दिनुपर्ने माग गरेका छन् । 

Two women electrocuted in Baglung

Baglung, May 19 (RSS): Two women were electrocuted in Kathekhola Rural Municipality-6, Bihunkot in Baglung district on Saturday. 

Guma Kandel, 25, and Nisha Kandel, 20, died when they were electrocuted on their way to home from the nearby forest after collecting fodder, Deputy Superintendent of Police of Baglung Bishwaraj Singh Thapa said. 

The two caught live current from a pole of high-voltage transmission line. They had reportedly gone to collect fodder early morning but were found dead in a search by their family members as they did not return home till late. 

The local residents have prevented the police personnel to collect the dead bodies saying that the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)'s carelessness took the lives of the women. They have sought rightful compensation from the NEA after taking responsibility of the incident.
